Looking for a vacation that keeps everyone happy from day one? Norwegian Cruise Line makes it easy. Its Kids Programs are designed so kids and teens (3 to 17 years old) get a space that feels made just for them: fun, safe, and full of energy, while adults enjoy the freedom to relax and explore.

What does Norwegian Cruise Line offer for children and teens?

Norwegian Cruise Line features two Kids Programs for children and teens ages 3-17. In addition, families can enjoy a variety of fun activities together, from game shows and pizza-making classes to trivia challenges, sports competitions, and water-based fun. Pools, waterslides, splash zones, and the Kids Aqua Park keep everyone cool and entertained, ensuring there's something for every member of the family to enjoy!

What are the Kids Programs aboard Norwegian Cruise Line?

Guided by a friendly and well-trained team, Norwegian Cruise Line features two dedicated Kids Programs: Splash Academy, created for kids ages 3-12, and Entourage, designed exclusively for teens 13-17. In these programs, young cruisers get to jump into a variety of fun activities with others their age.

Spaces in Splash Academy and Entourage are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, so early registration is recommended.

Norwegian Spirit does NOT offer Kids Programs.

Splash Academy for Kids (Ages 3-12)

On board, Splash Academy children dive into creative games, sports, and themed activities that spark their imagination, all guided by a friendly and well-trained staff. They stay busy, make new friends, and end each day with that "can we do it again tomorrow?" smile.

  • Turtles (3 to 5 years): Little cruisers in the Turtles group enjoy a world full of fun and imagination. Highlights include lively parades, treasure hunts, and even a mini Circus School. They also get hands-on with arts and crafts, sensory play, developmental games, and storytelling adventures.
  • Seals (6 to 9 years): Seals take their fun up a notch with circus skills like scarf juggling, plate spinning, devil sticks, and rope tricks. On top of that, they join theme nights, sports, games, team-building challenges, treasure hunts, parades, and painting sessions.
  • Dolphins (10 to 12 years): Dolphins enjoy similar activities, but with a bigger twist. From theme nights and team challenges to video games, sports, and circus skills, they stay engaged all day. Treasure hunts evolve into exciting scavenger hunts, and they'll especially love the energy and independence of the Entourage takeover.
  • Late Night Fun Zone: Drop the kids off and enjoy a relaxing or romantic evening on board. Late Night Services are available every night from 10 PM to 12 AM for children ages 3-12, with an hourly fee.

During the Splashtacular Extravaganza, kids will get to show off the circus skills they learned throughout the week.

Guppies drop-off and Port Play are NOT available.

Entourage for Teens (Ages 13-17)

Teens get their own world too! Entourage is a place where they can chill, dance, play, and be themselves. No pressure, no awkwardness. Just a cool hangout with people their age and plenty to do.

  • Creative Activities: Singing, dancing, and hands-on art projects keep teens entertained and engaged.
  • In Front of the Camera: Fashion sessions and improv classes offer a chance to shine and try something new.
  • Gaming and Movies: Movies and a variety of video games provide the perfect way to relax and have fun with peers.
  • Sports: Soccer, basketball, dodgeball, and other active games challenge teens and keep energy high.
  • Themed Events: Every night brings fresh themed parties: Glow Night, White Hot Party, College Night, and more!

Are there any onboard activities for kids and teens on Norwegian Cruise Line?

Yes! Norwegian Cruise Line packs its ships with a wide variety of activities for kids and teens, such as water parks, pools, arcade zones, movie nights, and parties!

  • Water Parks: On Norwegian Breakaway Class ships, thrill-seekers can tackle Free Fall, the fastest drop waterslide at sea, or take on The Epic Plunge, a 200-foot-long slide full of excitement. Younger children can enjoy the Kids Aqua Park, designed just for them.
  • The Waterfront: The Waterfront promenade on the Norwegian Breakaway and Breakaway Plus ships offers more than bars and lounges. Teens can grab a bite, enjoy gelato, or soak in ocean views while exploring this scenic walkway.
  • The Plank and Ropes Course: Adventure lovers can step out onto The Plank, a narrow board suspended above the ocean, for a heart-pounding experience while secured in a harness. The Ropes Course challenges cruisers with over 40 obstacles across the largest multilevel ropes course at sea. Both attractions are exclusive to the Norwegian Breakaway and Breakaway Plus Class ships.
