There are endless thrills and ways to chill at Perfect Day at CocoCay-from the tallest waterslide in North America and a helium balloon ride offering the highest vantage point in The Bahamas, to serene white sand beaches and private floating cabanas. To say there's a lot to do at Royal Caribbean's private island destination would be an understatement. Wondering how to conquer it all and make the most of your time at this one-of-a-kind spot?
Perfect Day at CocoCay is open and welcoming guests of all ages to adventure their way. Attractions include Daredevil's Peak, the tallest waterslide in North America; Up, Up and Away, a helium balloon ride that soars up to 450 feet in the air; and Oasis Lagoon, the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean. You'll have an average of 10-12 hours on the private island to conquer it all!
Topping the list of to-dos is Thrill Waterpark, with 13 jaw-dropping waterslides - including Splash Summit, where you'll find a winding tube slide for two called The Twister. The waterpark is busiest around midday, so make sure to arrive before 11 a.m. or in the late afternoon (guests can also pre-book certain activities to get ahead of things). Be sure to check the height requirements listed on the park map!
For those looking to cool off, guests can explore beyond the shore with rentals for kayaking, snorkeling and more available at Chill Island. It's important to know that some activities and attractions can be temporarily closed because of inclement weather. This includes Up, Up & Away.
What should you bring to the island? Save this list of adventure essentials:
If you forget something - not to worry - the ship is just a short walk or tram ride away (just remember your SeaPass card in order to get back on board!).
If you want to maximize your time on the island, make sure to hitch a ride on the complimentary tram service that comes by every 15 minutes or so, making stops at the Arrivals Plaza, Chill Island and Oasis Lagoon. You can find the tram routes on the island map. Looking to kick back? Beach chairs and umbrellas are complimentary for all guests and offered in many places on the island. Towels can easily be exchanged throughout the day at two of the exchange stations. You can also make use of the lockers to store your personal belongings. Perfect Day at CocoCay is a hands-on adventure!
Don't miss Snack Shack's Shack Burger - an absolute must-found at two locations across the island and best served with a side of fries or a light Greek salad. Snack Shack is a complimentary choice best enjoyed by the Bahamian blue water. If burgers aren't your thing, Captain Jack's wings and fries receive rave reviews (the restaurant can be found conveniently near the Arrivals Plaza-an ideal spot for a quick stop before getting back on board). If 'having trouble deciding, head over to Chill Grill or Skipper's Grill for a variety of complimentary eats for the entire family.
Whether you're enjoying a full day at play or kicking back poolside, hydration is key: Onboard beverage packages work on the island, and complimentary water and juice can be found at all food stations.
