Following a mandatory safety briefing, enjoy a gentle one-hour walk in search of Komodo dragons while learning about the park's unique wildlife and ecosystems. Guests may also choose to spend time around the ranger station, visit the souvenir shop, or look out for birdlife including sulphur-crested cockatoos, helmeted friarbirds, orange-footed megapodes, and Javan deer. Important information: Expect to walk slowly for 1 hour. Terrain is generally flat with some uneven ground and natural surfaces. Guests are recommended to wear comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and bring a bottle of water. Morning Experience: Komodo Medium Walk to the Waterhole (Duration: 3.5 hours, Level of Difficulty: Moderate): Accompanied by park rangers and local guides, venture beyond the ranger station on a longer walk towards the island's waterhole, an area frequented by wildlife including Komodo dragons. After a mandatory safety briefing, explore the open woodland and seasonal riverbeds while learning about the flora, fauna, and conservation of this remarkable national park. Important information: Walk approximately 2.5 hours on uneven natural terrain, including small inclines and dry riverbeds. Guests should be in good general health and are recommended to wear sturdy walking shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and bring a bottle of water. This afternoon, enjoy time at the iconic Pink Beach, renowned for its unique rosy-hued sand created by crushed coral. Once ashore, snorkelers can explore vibrant coral reefs teeming with colorful marine life, while those seeking a more relaxed experience may enjoy swimming, strolling along the beach, exploring the sand dunes, or simply taking in the spectacular coastal views. Important information: This activity is recommended for guests in good physical condition who are confident swimming in water too deep to stand. Snorkeling time and location are weather dependent and confirmed on the morning of the tour. For safety reasons, snorkeling numbers may be limited at any one time, but we will endeavor to rotate groups so all guests have the opportunity to snorkel.
