Voyages aboard HX MS Fridtjof Nansen, the direct sister ship to MS Roald Amundsen, operate under a comprehensive all inclusive expedition model. All primary dining is covered across the ship venues, including full service breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the main restaurant Restaurant Aune and casual street food style dining at Fredheim. Guests receive house beverages throughout the day, including wine, beer, spirits, soft drinks, specialty coffees, and teas, along with a complimentary reusable water bottle. To prepare for expedition landings, guests are provided with a wind and water resistant polar jacket to keep, as well as complimentary loans of high durability expedition boots, trekking poles, and safety gear. Daily guided shore landings, small boat transfers, and wilderness excursions led by the expert onboard Expedition Team are all included in the base fare. On board, guests have full access to the interactive Science Centre, daily educational lectures, citizen science research programs, basic Wi Fi, and pre paid onboard service gratuities. Wellness amenities, including the panoramic Scandinavian sauna, outdoor infinity pool, hot tubs, gym, and outdoor running track, are also free for all guests. Despite the broad array of base inclusions, optional upgrades and specific personal services require an extra fee. Premium top shelf liquors, signature cocktails, and rare vintage wines fall outside standard beverage coverage. Non suite guests wishing to dine at the specialty fine dining venue Restaurant Lindstrom must pay a small additional cover charge per meal. While standard landings and boat tours are fully covered, specialized small group activities with limited space, such as guided kayak tours, snowshoeing, or overnight camping excursions, carry a supplemental charge. Personal onboard expenses are also billed separately, including professional spa and massage treatments, gift shop purchases, minibar refills, doctor visits, medical services, and laundry services for non suite staterooms.
