Voyages aboard HX's MS Roald Amundsen operate on a highly comprehensive, all-inclusive expedition model designed to cover almost everything you need for your journey. All main meals are included across multiple onboard venues, such as the main dining room (Restaurant Aune) and the casual eatery (Restaurant Fredheim). Guests also enjoy house beverages throughout the day—including beer, wine, spirits, soft drinks, specialty coffees, and teas-along with a complimentary reusable water bottle to use on board and take home. For your shore excursions, the cruise provides a complimentary wind- and water-resistant polar expedition jacket to keep, as well as complimentary loans of required expedition gear such as rubber boots, safety equipment, and trekking poles. Daily excursions, small-boat (RIB) transfers, and guided shore landings led by the expert Expedition Team are all part of the base fare. On board, guests have full access to the interactive Science Centre, daily educational lectures, citizen science activities, basic Starlink Wi-Fi, and all wellness facilities including the panoramic Scandinavian sauna, infinity pool, hot tubs, and gym. All standard onboard service gratuities are also fully pre-paid and included. While the ship covers the vast majority of your experience, a few optional items and specialty services carry an extra charge. Premium beverage upgrades—such as top-shelf liquors, rare vintage wines, and champagne outside of suite inclusions-are available for purchase. Non-suite guests looking to dine at the fine-dining specialty venue, Restaurant Lindstrøm, will pay a small additional fee per meal. While daily guided landings and transfers are covered, specialized adventure activities with strictly limited capacity-such as guided kayaking, snowshoeing, or overnight camping—cost extra and require onboard sign-ups. Personal onboard extras like professional spa and massage treatments, purchases from the onboard gift shop, personal laundry service for non-suite guests, doctor consultations/medical treatments, and minibar refills are also billed separately to your room account.
